Arlington, Texas — The National Independent Auto Dealers Association announced six more dealers completed its four-day training session to become a Certified Master Dealer.

The dealers who successfully finished the training were Dickie Alvarez, of Amigo Auto Sales of Kingsville, Texas; Tony Cook, of Lamar Cook Auto Choice of Summerville, S.C.; Eric Freeman, of Freeman Motor Company of Portland, Ore.; Christopher Haus, of Ron Haus Auto Group of Canfield, Ohio; Dan Nicholson, of Central Oregon Motors of Redmond, Ore.; and Tony Salem of Metro Auto Center of Tucson, Ariz.

According to the NIADA, the Certified Master Dealer training program instructs dealers on how to acquire and manage inventory more effectively, along with providing a better understanding of expense control to boost profitability.

The course also includes methods of reducing advertising while still increasing sales and how to enhance customer service through better training of sales staff.

The NIADA noted that only those dealers who already achieve high standards of finance, inventory, stability and business practices are invited to participate in the certification program.

The course was developed by the faculty at Northwood University, whose staff also leads the presentations.

The association said its next Certified Master Dealer training session will be held June 12-15 during its annual convention in Nashville, Tenn.
