Dealer.com Launches OnDemandTranslations

June 19, 2007

Burlington, Vt. — Dealer.com, a provider of online marketing solutions for the automotive industry, has launced OnDemandTranslations, a service that will be used by auto dealers to automatically translate the content of their English language Websites into a second language such as Spanish. The system allows dealers to submit English version content for translation by native speakers — a process that is quick and seamless for the dealer and ensures accurate translation within 24 hours.

Selling more vehicles and services online often comes down to speaking the language your customers speak. OnDemandTranslations begins with a full translation of each dealer’s Dealer.com SmartSite Website, a professionally designed Web site that helps auto dealers reach their customers through inventory management and online marketing options. Once this process is complete, any future English edits to the Website’s content are able to be automatically submitted for translation.

“As the automotive industry moves more toward online interaction with customers, dealers must be ready to meet the needs of potential customers who are non-English speakers,” said Mark Bonfigli, president and CEO of Dealer.com. “OnDemandTranslations is a seamless solution that allows dealers to reach this audience without sacrificing quality.”
