CHICAGO — Resource Automotive, a unit of The Warranty Group, launched a holistic approach to assist new vehicle franchised dealers in achieving and maintaining consistency in operating results. The program, called “OpX,” representing “operational excellence,” utilizes a sophisticated methodology of assessment, solution development and measurement to assure improvements across many financial metrics.

Innovative in its approach, OpX expands a dealership’s upside potential without ignoring the fundamentals, which is critical to long-term success and the avoidance of process evaporation.

With deep experience at both the wholesale and retailer level, Resource not only identifies improvement opportunities, but also implements solutions that have been proven to deliver sustainable results.

The OpX approach includes initial formal assessments to determine the specific strengths and weaknesses of the dealership. Analysis of the assessments leads to the joint development of solutions and measurements based on both financial and customer satisfaction metrics, a measurement strategy that has been historically elusive. Existing processes are fully documented and then revised. New processes are designed as needed. Specific written training and development plans are created to assist with the implementation of new processes. OpX is directed by a Resource Automotive developer who works onsite with the dealer, management team and dealership employees to assure results are achieved and maintained.
