New York – The National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) has partnered with insurance firm Edward E. Hall & Company to provide identity theft programs and services to NADA's auto dealer members.

Edward E. Hall is a Long Island, N.Y.-based insurance firm that has provided property and casualty coverage to the auto dealer industry since 1998, and the NADA is a national dealer association headquartered in Mclean, Va.

With the explosion of personal information being compromised at an alarming pace, as well as the federal law requiring dealers to be Red Flag compliant by Nov. 2008, identity theft insurance has become a necessity for auto dealers.

Lin Peacock, v.p. of NADA Insurance, stated "I can't think of another area that represents a larger threat to our members and their customers than identity theft. We are happy to help in this effort to protect their customers information and more importantly their identities."

The program offered by NADA and Edward E. Hall & Company will include: legal liability damages, defense costs, regulatory action expense, notification costs, crisis expense and identity theft recovery services for victims such as education, assistance and credit monitoring.
