VENICE, Calif.Mota Motors announced that digital automotive marketing veteran Ken Potter was appointed as the company’s chief revenue officer. He joins Mota as the online vehicle certification and selling platform provider prepares to launch a used-vehicle certification program.

Potter, who previously served as vice president and general manager of Automotive at CarsDirect.com, will be responsible for all aspects of the online service, including customer service, sales, and dealer and industry relations. He also will oversee all F&I-related product.

“Ken brings tremendous experience from the frontlines of the automotive digital revolution, and will spearhead the national launch of our new vehicle certification program,” said Jeffrey Schwartz, Mota Motors president and CEO. “Ken’s business philosophy that a commitment to providing value to consumers is the foundation for generating value and success for auto dealerships is a perfect match for Mota’s programs, which benefit both consumers and dealers.”

Potter, who spent 10 years at CarsDirect, also served as general manager at CarMax.
