SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Experian announced on Monday the appointment of John Gray to president of the company’s automotive business unit. In his new role, Gray will assume responsibility for the strategic direction, leadership and overall growth of the business.

“John is well known in the industry and has a proven track record at Experian, having successfully led our sales organization for many years,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian’s vertical markets. “With his expertise and keen understanding of the automotive industry, I have no doubt that Experian Automotive will continue to thrive under his leadership.”

Gray joined Experian in 2006 as senior vice president of sales and client services, where he successfully drove revenue growth, increased client loyalty and elevated Experian Automotive’s thought leadership position in the marketplace. Prior to that, Gray served as general manager of Siebel Systems’ complex manufacturing business. During his tenure, Gray provided enterprise solutions to the automotive, aerospace, defense and industrial manufacturing industries.

“I am honored to be chosen to lead Experian Automotive and believe the business has an exciting future,” said Gray. “As we move forward, we remain committed to our clients by providing them with products and services that enable them to gain a better understanding of the market, the vehicles and the people who buy them.”
