OMAHA, Neb. — A Wyoming man was sentenced to 12 to 26 years in prison after being convicted twice for illegally buying vehicles from the Nebraska Auto Auction.

Thomas Merchant, 53, of Cheyenne, Wyo., allegedly bought 19 vehicles from the auction in June 2011 with bad checks that bounced and a fake dealer’s license number.
