CANADA — A car dealer in Edmonton refunded a customer for the purchase of a luxury SUV after learning the man was a patient at a psychiatric hospital, the Huffington Post Alberta reports.

Crosstown Auto Centre reportedly sold a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Laredo to a man, Sean Amer, even though the salesman allegedly visited him at Alberta Hospital. According to the news outlet, Amer’s bill came to more than $65,000, a purchased that was financed at a 5.99 percent interest rate. Financing was approved for the patient despite him receiving assistance from the Alberta Income for the Severely Handicapped.

The salesman who sold the Jeep to Amer is quoted as saying the transaction — where Amer put down $4,000 and promised his business partner would pay the remaining $3,5000 — was “nothing out of the ordinary.”
