NORCO, Calif. — The operator of King City Enterprises, a used-car dealership and registration service, is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 24. He was convicted in November of auto theft, identity theft, filing forged documents, possessing forged notary stamps and conspiracy, The Press-Enterprise reports.

Kirsio Cruz, 48, and two others bought cars using counterfeit stamps from finance companies and then submitted the forged documents to the DMV, removing the legal owner from the titles. The cars were then sold at auction or shipped out of the country.
