ROSELAND, N.J. — ADP, a provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, today announced it made Training magazine’s “Training Top 125” list, landing at No. 20 for 2014. The rankings were unveiled during an awards gala at the Training 2014 Conference and Expo, which concluded yesterday in San Diego, Calif.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that ADP has been recognized in the annual Training Top 125 rankings, which recognize organizations for providing extraordinary employer-sponsored workforce training and development offerings. In addition, the company won a Best Practice award for its “Accelerating First Year Sales Performance” training initiative. The program was developed by ADP’s Employer Services Sales Learning and University Recruiting groups. Performance tracking showed sales by first-year hires were up almost 10% as a result of the effort.

“Effective training and development programs are not only critical to enabling current employees in delivering world-class client service, they are also important in identifying and developing new talent,” said Yvonne Surowiec, vice president of global talent and learning at ADP. “Placing highly in the Training Top 125 rankings and winning a Best Practice award for our first-year sales performance program is validation of the value of ADP’s end-to-end training processes.”

Now in its 14th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement, and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
