WINFIELD, W.Va. — Santander Consumer USA of Kentucky has filed a lawsuit against T.P. Chevrolet Inc., citing default of contract, according to a report in the West Virginia Record.

When two customers who purchased a 2010 Toyota Corolla from Turnpike filed bankruptcy, Santander was unable to collect on the debt for the vehicles purchase because the dealership failed to properly perfect security interest and lien, according to the complaint. Santander is seeking $16,929.50, plus interest, and all court costs.
