ANAHEIM, Calif. — City officials in Anaheim, Calif., have approved a new program that would give dealers opening new-car dealerships in the city a 40% rebate on the city’s share of sales taxes for up to a decade, the Orange County Register reports.

Typically, the city keeps 1% of the sales tax generated from vehicle sales. Existing dealerships are also eligible for the program if they profit from an expansion of their lots.
