BLOCKHOUSE, Canada — Mahone Auto Service, which has operated for 67 years in Lunenburg County, will close its doors on August 29. David and John Croft, who have owned the business since 1985, said the shutdown is due to demands put on the dealership by Ford Motor Company, according to SouthShoreNow.ca.

The owners said they would have had to spend as much as $600,000 to redo the look of the dealership. They claimed they would have to knock down the current showroom in order to comply with Ford’s Millennium Facility Standard.
