KINGSTON, Pa. — A former employee of Wyoming Valley Motors BMW was sentenced Monday to four years of probation, with the first 12 months to be served under house arrest. The woman, who pleaded guilty in June to a single count of theft, stole $52,500 from the dealership, reports Citizensvoice.com.

Between May 2013 and October 2013, Briana E. Tavaglione, 22, performed 17 unauthorized refund transactions while working as a cashier at the dealership and refunded the money to her own checking account. As part of her sentence, she must pay $44,248 in remaining restitution.
