PITTSBURGH —A former employee of Three Rivers Volkswagen who pleaded guilty in August to wire fraud and filing false tax returns has been sentenced to three and a half years in federal prison. Deborah Cassini, 63, stole nearly $700,000 from the dealership between 2006 and 2011, nearly bankrupting the business, according to the Observer-Reporter.

Cassini used the dealership’s bank accounts to make over 160 payments on her credit cards, and six payments on her BMW. She also gave herself 98 unauthorized paychecks and skimmed cash from the business.
