RICHMOND, Va. — Used car sales franchise J.D. Byrider has opened a second dealership in Richmond on Broad Street. The new location is the sixth J.D. Byrider dealership in Virginia, and it is the second Virginia dealership for franchisee Craig Baker. Baker opened Richmond’s first J.D. Byrider in 2012.

“Richmond has proven to be an outstanding area to expand the J.D. Byrider brand,” Baker said. “My staff and I are dedicated to bringing the same level of service and experience to this new dealership and helping customers with less-than-perfect credit find dependable, affordable vehicles.”

The 2,500 square-foot location will offer used car sales, two service bays, affordable pricing on parts and labor and a 24-month/24,000-mile service agreement on all cars purchased. The expansion will also create approximately 10 new jobs at the Broad Street location and five at the Midlothian Turnpike location.

With the new Broad Street location, J.D. Byrider has opened a total of six new dealerships in 2015. The company now has 169 locations in 34 states.

“Craig is an excellent operator and will continue to serve our customers well as he opens a second location in Richmond,” said Tom Welter, vice president of franchising for J.D. Byrider. “He knows the value of our business model and operational support, both of which are driving the unprecedented unit of growth we are expecting.”
