ORLANDO, Fla. — Organizers of the annual Industry Summit announced that Automotive Compliance Education (ACE) has agreed to once again offer onsite compliance certification to registered attendees for no additional charge. The event will be held Oct. 8–10, 2018, at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Fla., with ACE certification scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 9.

“ACE has become an integral part of our events, and we are pleased that our audience has so eagerly embraced this important training opportunity,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of F&I and Showroom and Auto Dealer Today. “It’s clear there is an insatiable appetite for compliance education at every level of our industry.”

ACE certification is open to auto dealers and dealership personnel as well as agents, auto finance executives, and F&I product providers and administrators. ACE’s executive director, Gil Van Over, said a new certification, “Product Specialist,” was designed in part to inform conversations among dealers and agents concerning the structure and sale of F&I products.

“This offering is geared toward the people who provide product, financing, or consulting services to the dealer community. Dealers often look to us for compliance assistance or oversight. Understanding what the products do that dealers sell to customers is just as important on the features and benefits to sell the products,” Van Over said.

To earn ACE certification, Industry Summit attendees must be present for a comprehensive review session that will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, and earn a grade of 80% or better on the exam that follows. Those who succeed will get a framed diploma and opportunities to renew their certification on an annual basis.
