TPC Management Company has added Central Wisconsin Auto Auction (CWAA) to its client roster for strategic consulting services. TPC will work with the auction's management staff in identifying and developing national account business opportunities with commercial fleet lessors, car rental companies, banks, auto finance companies, manufacturers, and third party servicers as well as performing management recruiting and training.

"While this auction has been in operation for 25 years, they never looked to actively attract national account/fleet-lease vehicle consignments," said Nick Pund, managing partner of CWAA. "By providing solid basic services of vehicle pick-up, accurate condition reports, and attracting the right mix of buying dealers, we can save these national accounts hundreds of dollars per vehicle by offering them for sale closer to where they come out of service."

Pund acquired a controlling interest in CWAA in 1996 and owns a second auction in eastern Tennessee. Both are members of the National Auto Auction Association.

"I had worked with Pierre Pons in both of our corporate auction days and it was a logical choice to have his firm represent us to the national account community," Pund said.

"We have maintained all along that independent auto auctions offer tremendous value to national account vehicle sellers," said Pierre Pons, TPC Management's president. "The only thing holding them back is that by not having a dedicated corporate sales staff, many of these independents are a well-kept secret. CWAA has a great location in the middle of Wisconsin and is well suited to service the national account client base.

"In the larger markets there is much more competition for every buying dollar and unless you are a major fleet-lease consignor it's hard to attract those dealers to your vehicles," Pons said. "At smaller, independent auctions in secondary markets, not only do national accounts get fantastic service and attention, but we also find that the auction attendance is made up more from dealers that often will not venture to the large metropolitan auction sales. They will, however, pay top dollar for vehicles available at their local auction. National accounts get two major benefits: reduced expenses and higher resale dollars. Many accounts agree that using independent auctions remains a very effective part of their overall vehicle remarketing strategy."

In addition to Cenral Wisconsin Auto Auction, TPC Management also has similar strategic consulting agreements representing a number of other independent auto auctions across the country.

TPC also provides management recruiting, training and project based consulting services to a wide segment of clients in the automotive industry including auctions, automotive finance, insurance, investment firms, vehicle manufacuters, corporate fleets, commercial lessors, third party servicers, and e-commerce from offices in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago and Seattle.
