Toyota Financial Services (TFS) recognized Rod and Naomi Nagy for being the "3 Millionth Vehicle Service Agreement Customers" at a ceremony at the Orland Toyota dealership on Oct. 6.

TFS presented the Nagys with a check for $1,175, which was the amount they paid for their Platinum Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA) for their 2001 Toyota Prius. The event marks the company's achievement of selling 3 million VSA's since 1986. Vehicle Service Agreements extend the coverage on an automobile beyond the factory warranty period.

Angela Wollenberg, regional manager, and Robert Pettinger, district account manager, both of TFS, greeted the Nagys at the dealership in Tinley Park, Ill. The couple were presented with a framed award letter, a check, and a Toyota travel bag filled with Toyota merchandise. Joining in the festivities was Jeff Kowalis, general manager for Orland Toyota.

"I was so surprised," said Rod Nagy. "I thought it was a practical joke when I heard the message on my answering machine from Jeff Kowalis at Orland Toyota." When Nagy returned Jeff Kowalis' call, Jeff assured him that it was real, and TFS faxed the Nagys a letter confirming the award.
