Deerfield Beach, Fla. – Pat Moran, who has served as chairman of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. since 2000, and been an associate of the company for over 20 years, has retired as of January 2, 2007. She will remain a member of the company’s board of directors.

Jim Moran, founder of the company, will continue as Honorary Chairman. Colin Brown, President and CEO, who has been running the day-to-day operations of the business for several years, will continue to do so. In addition, he will now preside over board meetings.

Brown joined the family-owned business in 1992 as Vice President and General Counsel. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 1997 and President in 2000. He was named CEO in January 2003, becoming the first non-family member to hold the titles of first President and then CEO.

“All of us at JM Family thank Pat for her many years of diligent work and contributions to our growth and success,” said JM Family President and CEO Colin Brown. “We are pleased that Pat will remain an active member of our board of directors and we wish her the best as she begins this exciting new chapter in her life.”
