WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Mobile marketing platform provider Gumiyo has announced the appointment of Eric Larson as company president. Larson brings more than 20 years of management, technology, wireless and automotive experience to his new position, where he will oversee Gumiyo’s day-to-day operations, growth and new market expansion.

“Eric’s knowledge and background in automotive and wireless is a perfect match for Gumiyo,” said Shuki Lehavi, the company's CEO and co-founder. "His leadership and management skills will be a tremendous asset in guiding the company as it continues its rapid-growth path."

Prior to joining Gumiyo, Larson served as president of 5square Systems, an industry leader in Web-based sales force automation (SFA) and customer relationship management (CRM) applications for the auto retailing space. Larson has also held the position of senior vice president/CFO at Nomadix Inc., a leading supplier to the WiFi public Internet access market, and enterprise division manager at auditing firm Arthur Andersen LLP.

“This is a great opportunity to help drive the adoption of the mobile phone as an effective marketing channel that will transform advertising for retail automotive, real estate and publishing,” Larson said. "The public demand for useful mobile Web content is continuing to grow, and Gumiyo is uniquely positioned to meet those needs with its cutting-edge mobile platform and ability to connect with consumers anytime and anywhere."

Larson holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is actively involved in several local business and civic organizations.
