IRVINE, Calif. – Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com, a leading provider of new- and used-vehicle information, has announced the launch of KBB Green, an all-new microsite which was designed to help guide new-vehicle shoppers through environmental and fuel-economy issues.

KBB Green will offer information about alternative-fuel technologies such as hydrogen, diesel, hybrids, natural gas, electric and flex fuel/ethanol vehicles, as well as fuel-sipping gasoline cars. The site will also allow KBB's experts to post the latest green news and information from around the automotive world. Additonally, a video section will offer an in-depth, insider's look at the latest eco-friendly vehicles on the market from the perspective of both KBB and the manufacturers themselves.

In conjunction with the launch of KBB Green, the editors of kbb.com named their inaugural picks for the Top 10 Green Cars. In compiling the list, editors considered factors such as comfort, performance, utility and technology in addition to fuel economony and price. The Toyota Prius and Honda's Civic Hybrid topped the list, followed by the smart fortwo.
