WASHINGTON The National Automobile Dealers Association has elected Stephen Wade as chairman for 2011. He is currently vice chairman of the NADA and has been a member of the association since 1973.

Wade is president of Stephen Wade Auto Center in St. George, Utah. His franchises include Chevrolet, Cadillac, Chrysler, Nissan, Mazda and a powersports store that includes Yamaha, Honda, Polaris and Suzuki.

Previously, Wade has served as the NADA's region IV vice chairman and on the policy and bylaws, ATAE/NADA, finance, and government relations committees. He also served as president of the Utah Automobile Dealers Association in 1981.

The NADA board of directors also elected William P. Underriner as 2011 vice chairman. He is president of Underriner Motors in Billings, Mont.

The election was held Sept. 21, at a meeting of the board of directors in Washington. Wade and Underriner will officially take office at the NADA Convention & Exposition in San Francisco, Feb. 5-7.
