Results of F&I and Showroom magazine’s reader survey, which are featured in the October issue, are now available online.

The study looked at acceptance rates of three core products – GAP, prepaid maintenance and service contracts – and took a snapshot of profit-per-retail-unit numbers for the first half of 2010.

The study also delves into what types of service contract plans dealers are selling, and penetration rates on those plans. It also looks at the most popular terms.

Additionally, the survey provides insight into how F&I departments are handling Internet and phone-in customers.

The study, which was conducted between July 20 and Aug. 16, garnered 176 responses. To view the full study, click here.
