HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing Inc. announced Tuesday that its Dealix business unit hired Peter Wilson as executive director of UsedCars.com, an automotive shopping site.

Peter Wilson is a senior executive with more than 15 years of expertise in online automotive marketing. Prior to joining Dealix, he was director of business development and strategy at SmartAuction, a business unit of Ally Financial. Additionally, he has managed the “Autos” channel of MSN.com for Microsoft. He has also managed various e-commerce businesses for Reynolds & Reynolds over the course of nine years, starting with DealerNet.com, which he co-founded in 1994 prior to selling to Reynolds.

“Both auto shoppers and dealers are recognizing that UsedCars.com is an important resource. Site visitors grew 70 percent year over year and inventory available to them more than doubled. ADP and Dealix are focused on making UsedCars.com is a leading destination for pre-owned shoppers and hiring an executive of the caliber of Peter Wilson clearly demonstrates our commitment to this goal,” said Anna Zornosa, executive vice president and general manager of Dealix.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to the success of UsedCars.com. Their recent agreements with Hertz and Nissan, combined with their significant investments in new, cutting-edge products such as ‘Buyers Insight,’ show the tremendous potential of this business,” Wilson said.
