SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — The potential sale of R.L. Polk & Co. has stalled since 120 auto dealers brought a lawsuit against its Carfax subsidiary in April, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Polk went up for sales earlier this year, and representatives said they did not anticipate the suit, which claims Carfax engages in anticompetitive practices, having an effect. Sources close to potential buyers claimed the suit was not a deal breaker, but that they are awaiting further information before proceeding.
