PALO ALTO, Calif. — Tesla Motors confirmed Oct. 2 that it has reached an agreement with the state of Virginia that will pave the way for its first dealership in Northern Virginia, reports the Virginian-Pilot.

Tesla has a location in Tysons Corner, Va., but cannot sell cars there according to state law. The new agreement paves the way for the company to receive a license from the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board, allowing it to sell vehicles at one location and operate an associated service center.
