PHOENIX — Arizona lawmakers are pushing for a bill that would give Tesla the right to sell directly to consumers. The bill is part of an effort to make Arizona the home state of a Tesla factory now under development, CNN reported this week.

Tesla has faced resistance from other states such as New Jersey, which recently banned direct sales. The company is currently considering four southwestern states, including Arizona, as the location for its $1.6 billion battery production center.
