DETROIT — Malcom Bricklin’s V Cars LLC was awarded $2 million last week by a federal jury after the automotive company’s former employee illegally helped take in vehicles from a company in China, according to Reuters.

Former V Cars executive Dennis Gore, through his new company KCA Engineering, committed fraud and other offenses, Reuters reports. Bricklin, the man behind the 1980s importation of the Yugo to the States, alleges Gore used proprietary information to assist China-based Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. In a joint venture with investment firm Israel Corp.
