DETROIT — After debuting its new Web-based training site at the National Automobile Dealers Association’s February convention, Ally announced this week its Performance Development Center is now live. The site provides dealership employees with customized training specifically designed for their role in the dealership.

Offering 24-hour access, the training portal features 15 virtual on-demand training courses with more than 35 modules covering a wide range of topics, including Commercial Services Group Business Vehicle Certification, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) Awareness, NewQuote and Residual Value Lease Guide and Retail Process Overview training.

The online courses were designed with short modules, most of which are 20 minutes or less. Registered learners can also test their skills through interactive review quizzes. They can also print reference materials to review any time they are not on the site.

The Performance Development Center also maintains a history of completed training courses for every registered user. It also issues printed certificates upon completion of a course.

Last year, Ally trained more than 14,000 dealership personnel with its instructor-led training, including in-dealership classes and those offered via webinar. The new site allows Ally to expand its reach even further, while also offering targeted training to meet the needs of participating dealers.

“We’ve never had a tool to enable us to develop content and enhance delivery. Everything has been very manual, very regionalized,” said Kathy Ruble, Ally’s director of alliance sales, performance and development. “This brings it all together.
