A four-day course for newer F&I managers with one year of experience or less. The course introduces the basic skills and knowledge needed to acheive success in the F&I department including office design and content, a good understanding of all products offered and how they benefit customers, learning what’s expected and how to be part of the dealership team, sales to finance transitions and processes, customer service: meet & greet, follow-up, creating a custom menu that is user friendly and adds professionalism to the presentation, overcoming objections, setting personal goals toward better production. Hands-on training includes role-playing and listening to actual claim calls for a clearer understanding of how a vehicle service contracts benefit customers and dealerships. Guest speakers representing a national lender (buyer mentality, relationships, structure, efficiency, data entry and callbacks) and a national credit bureau (how to read bureau reports, scoring, do’s and don’ts) add to this experience.
