Twenty-year industry veteran Mahesh Shah has joined CDK Global as executive vice president and chief product and technology officer.

CDK Global announced on Tuesday that AutoFi has agreed to consume digital retailing APIs from the Fortellis Automotive Consumer Exchange Platform. Equifax, one of the platform’s inaugural publishers, also said on Tuesday it will publish new APIs for the platform.
The deal was first reported on Sunday by The Banks Report, which described the pending acquisition as checking off 'several boxes for CDK while filling a big product hole — a viable integrated CRM platform with significant market share.'
The plug-and-play platform is designed to allow developers, OEMs, and dealers to leverage, build, innovate, and securely integrate solutions and workflows. According to company officials, the platform makes designing, building and publishing new solutions a simple administrative function.
The regulator had charged in an administrative complaint that the proposed sale violates federal antitrust laws. The two companies subsequently announced they are abandoning the proposed merger. Auto/Mate officials said the technology company is no longer for sale.
