Guidepoint Expands With New Facilities

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Telematics supplier GuidePoint Systems has expanded its operations in metro Detroit and Fort Worth, Texas to meet growing demand for its services.

The Michigan-based telematics supplier, which relocated its corporate headquarters from Pontiac to Madison Heights just six months ago, said it has expanded its operations in metro Detroit. In addition to corporate, finance and sales, the 3,100-square foot facility in Madison Heights now houses a dealer-support team and business-to-business services as well as warehouse facility.

In Texas, where Guidepoint operates its technology, product development, call center and consumer service operations, the company will be moving into a new facility just west of downtown Fort Worth in February 2009. The new 8,800-square foot facility more than doubles the company's capacity, with 75 call-center seats, a lab and vehicle work area, dedicated training facilities and product development offices.

"Our new facilities in Detroit and Fort Worth will allow us to serve customers and channel partners much better in the future," CEO Rand Mueller said. "The consolidation of our business-to-business sales and dealer support teams in Madison Heights will allow us to provide more responsive service to automotive dealers, subprime customers and channel partners. Likewise, the expansion of our facilities and capabilities in Fort Worth provides us the opportunity to offer a higher level of service and enhanced products to consumers throughout North America and Mexico."
