AUSTIN, Texas -- IAS announced Nov. 1 that its SmartMenu program now offers multilingual functionality. Menus can be customized into many languages, including Spanish, French, German and Italian.

"We've used our expertise to identify and solve many of the challenges that dealerships face today," said Bob Corbin, president of IAS. "The desire for a multilingual menu selling program reached the point of necessity as regulatory scrutiny and the non-English speaking customer base continue to increase."

SmartMenu’s user interface remains in English so that F&I personnel can accurately enter customer information and then present every facet of the menu in the right language for the customer.

The IAS video presentation system, SmartTrac, already presents F&I program options to the consumer in both English and Spanish.

"Using SmartMenu to present the menu in Spanish is a win-win for our dealership," said Tom Cardinale of Cardinale Automotive Group based in Salinas, Calif. "We can be assured that we are not only providing better customer service and meeting compliance standards for our Hispanic customers, but that they are more comfortable and therefore more likely to buy in an environment where we are literally speaking their language."

The multilingual SmartMenu software is available immediately and is free to IAS dealerships. It will be demonstrated at the IAS booth no. 1 at the F&I Conference and Expo Nov. 2-4 in Las Vegas.
