EAC Names Connolly V.P. of Sales and Marketing

MANHASSET, N.Y. — Loan-acceleration program provider Economic Advantages Corporation (EAC) has appointed Ged Connolly as its executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Connolly will be responsible for ensuring the company's continued growth in the automotive sector, as well as coordinating marketing and strategic initiatives currently underway. He previously served as vice president of sales for National Payment Network Inc.

EAC was founded in 1989 and introduced biweekly payment programs to the automotive industry. The company, which offers full DMS integration, Web-based account management, eContracting and eSignature pads, manages payments in excess of $25 billion.

Fitch: Gas Prices Driving Down SUV and Truck Values

High gas prices are taking their toll on the recovery values of sport utility vehicles and trucks, leading to higher loss severity on defaulted loans in many U.S. auto loan asset-backed securities, according to Fitch Ratings.
