Dr. David E. Cole, director of the Center for Automotive Research, will be the keynote speaker on the opening day of Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) 2001 on March 19 at the Hilton in Las Vegas.

Dr. Cole will present an analysis and perspective of the fundamental changes that are occurring in the automotive industry in such areas as product technology, industry structure, speed to market, engineering process, and the evolution of an e-enabled business model.

As the former director of the prestigious Office for the Study of Automotive Transportation at the University of Michigan, Cole worked extensively on internal combustion engines, vehicle design, and overall automotive industry trends. He is a recognized international authority on trends in globalization, technology, market factors, and human resource issues.
