National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Chairman Harold Wells conveyed Oldsmobile dealers' dissatisfaction with the current compensation offer in a meeting last week between NADA leaders and GM President and CEO Rick Wagoner and Industry Affairs Vice-President Darwin Clark, according to NADA Today.

The NADA team discussed different options

for the transition, including an approach that would allow dealers to use dealership planning potential or actual sales, whichever is greater,

to calculate their compensation package. NADA also said GM needs to be flexible in addressing dealers' individual circumstances and concerns.

NADA has added an Olds-specific dealer franchise meeting to its 2001 Las Vegas convention schedule. The meeting is set for Mon., Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m. in rooms N246 and N250 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
