After recording its most successful quarter ever in April 2001, AutoTrader.com, an automotive classifieds destination online, has

just broken two additional site-traffic records. On July 17, page views topped 5,717,912 and 1,005,341 individual vehicle searches were conducted. On July 23, the site broke that record, reaching 5,864,584 page views and 1,037,223 vehicle searches in one 24-hour period!

The company attributes the recent success to a diverse online and off-line marketing and advertising campaign, including recent sponsorships of popular NASCAR events on NBC and Turner Sports and placements on NASCAR.com. In addition, strategic alliances with top online consumer services such as AOL, iWon, NBCi, Bell South and many others have made AutoTrader.com's extensive inventory available to the largest consumer audience on the Internet.

Earlier this month, AutoTrader.com also announced a partnership with FordDirect to provide its extensive listings to shoppers on FordDirect.com.

"Our goal is to continue to break records by providing quality information and services for both buyers and sellers," said Chip Perry, president and CEO of AutoTrader.com. "Our many-to-many marketplace ensures that shoppers

have access to the largest database of listings and extensive details, while sellers can showcase their vehicles to millions of shoppers across our site and our quality partners.

"With more than half of auto shoppers relying on the Internet to conduct research before buying a car and more than 41 million used cars sold last year alone, AutoTrader.com has proven to be the ultimate resource for all automotive information," Perry said.

Services offered on the site include:

* Used and now new vehicles from the largest online inventory of more than 1.5 million listings - approximately 50 percent of all used cars for sale at any one time in the U.S.

* A great way for private sellers to list their own vehicles for free, exposing them to more than 5 million unique visitors each month

* Detailed vehicle information, including photos, options, contact information and vehicle history reports

* A Decision Guide to help consumers find the car that best meets their needs

* Car-care and safety tips
