BMW Financial Services, the finance arm of BMW of North America, in 2001 surpassed the 100,000-unit mark in new BMW vehicle financing for the first time ever, according to Martha McKinley, business communications manager.

The 106,000 total represents a 27 percent increase from 2000.

New and used BMW financing originations surpassed $5.2 billion, a new record for the U.S. financial service company, according to McKinley.

Certified Pre-Owned BMW sales showed a 24 percent increase in December 2001 over the 3,228 units sold in December 2000, McKinley said.
