Arkona Inc. announced March 6 the

certification of its Dealer Management Solution with DaimlerChrysler’s dealership factory

communications system. This integration provides the more than 5,300 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealerships with an alternative to managing and exchanging information with DaimlerChrysler, according to Arkona.

"The integration of Arkona with DaimlerChrysler empowers Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep automobile dealers with all the required data management and transfer tools needed," said Carl

Swope, dealer principal, Swope Motors of Elizabethtown, Ky. "We're excited about our personnel being even more effective in their jobs now that Arkona has achieved

DaimlerChrysler certification status."

According to the company, the certification was a cooperative effort between Arkona and DaimlerChrysler. It required months of development and testing to verify data access to and from DaimlerChrysler.

"This represents an important milestone for Arkona in all its marketing and sales efforts," said Richard Holland, president. "DCX integration puts more control in the hands of our dealers by streamlining the flow of information and adding an entirely new level of information access that is critical to managing their dealerships. Additionally, Arkona is rapidly moving towards complete integration with Ford, General Motors, Mitsubishi and BMW."

According to Arkona, its software is one of the most comprehensive dealer management solutions available. It says this solution includes reporting capabilities and features necessary for dealerships to maximize customer satisfaction and dealer profitability.
