Manheim Auctions has announced that Harrisonburg Auto Auction in Harrisonburg, Va., and Louisville Auto Auction in Clarksville, Ind., ranked as the top two auctions in 2002 for Remarketing Services of America (RSA), winning National Quality Control Program awards.

“We are proud that two Manheim auctions received two of the three National Quality

Control Program awards presented by Remarketing Services of America,” said Peter Trench,

Manheim’s director of national accounts. “At Manheim, our auctions are focused on delivering quality services for our customers.”

“Both Harrisonburg Auto Auction and Louisville Auto Auction have ranked among RSA’s top five auctions in the past several years,” said Tom Pietras, manager of auction sales and performance at

Remarketing Services of America. “They have consistently delivered great service in the past and

continue to do so on a day-to-day basis. At RSA, we have specific standards, and the winning

auctions not only meet our standards but exceed them, which makes our business and that of our

clients much more successful.”

RSA presents the National Quality Control Program awards based on four criteria: sale effectiveness, operational efficiency, sale preparation and marketing. About 26 auctions nationwide compete annually for the awards, according to Pietras.

“Each year, it is a tough competition with very close rankings among the auctions,” said Pietras.

“Winning the award is a tribute to everyone here at Harrisonburg Auto Auction,” said Lee Barbato, fleet/lease and factory manager at Harrisonburg Auto Auction. “It takes a team effort to successfully serve our customers. We’ve established a good working relationship with RSA over the years, and we’ve always wanted to be its number one auction. Now our goal will be to maintain this number one ranking.”

“We’re honored to win one of RSA’s three National Quality Control Program awards,” said

Lori Hammond, fleet/lease manager of Louisville Auto Auction. “This award certainly reflects the hard

work of the entire Louisville Auto Auction team, and it’s an achievement of which we all can be

proud.”
