New Software from Universal Underwriters

February 24, 2004

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. –- Universal Underwriters Group has introduced 2004 versions of its VSC Rate Calc and eMenu softwares.

VSC RateCalc offers dealers rapid VSC rate calculations from basic customer and vehicle information. It is customized to the dealer's particular rates, and has eligibility built in to prevent ineligible deals from occurring.

"The VSC RateCalc saves dealers time and virtually eliminates all errors," said Bill Stoothoff, Universal Underwriter's vice president of F&I.

The 4.0 version of the software has been in use in dealerships since January and was previewed at NADA in Las Vegas.

Also demonstrated at NADA was eMenu, an electronic F&I menu. The program allows dealers to enter information such as desired profit by product and up to four option packages. The menu and final selection summary can also be printed.

Both products were developed as part of the Streamlined Selling System to add value to dealerships.

"There is no additional charge to our customer to use VSC RateCalc or eMenu. They are simply additional tools we offer dealers to help them make and retain more money," Stoothoff said.
