OVERLAND PARK, Kan. —- Universal Underwriters Group demonstrated its electronic product presentation, "Take to the Road," during the 2004 NADA Convention and Exposition.

The company developed the program to help dealerships make a consistent presentation of every F&I product to every customer, every time. "Take to the Road" also promotes full disclosure and increases dealers’ profit potential, Universal Underwriters Group said.

The first release of "Take to the Road" was in February 2002. Several enhancements have been made over the past two years. The program is now available on DVD.

"We continued to demonstrate this program at NADA due to the great success dealers have had with the program," said Bill Stoothoff, vice president of F&I for Universal Underwriters. "Dealers across the country have seen large increases in product penetration and PVR."

"Take to the Road" is the second step of the Streamlined Selling System, a menu-based program that relies on value presentations of all available F&I products.

The Streamlined Selling System begins with a short interview, designed to gain insight into the customer's wants and needs, followed by the product presentations. The system concludes with a menu of product options.
