DAYTON, Ohio -- The Reynolds and Reynolds Co. has teamed with Northwood University to provide online, automotive certificate programs for jobs in dealership parts, service, sales and accounting.

The 12-week program that provides role-based training will be delivered through Northwood University. For new and experienced dealership employees, the program outlines job role responsibilities and accountability requirements. It also provides process training for performing key functions.

"With today's high turnover rates, training is imperative to retaining dealership employees," said Susan Moll, senior director of Reynolds University. "With job role training, employees can have the skill sets, knowledge and confidence necessary to operate in today's hyper-competitive automotive industry."

"With Northwood University's distance learning capabilities, employees can access accredited, flexible training and enhance their skills at their own pace, time, and place," said Moll.

Modules are delivered via the Internet over a 12-week session that requires learners to devote approximately one to three hours per week to successfully complete each program. Upon successfully completing each module, enrolled participants will receive a certificate of completion and two CEU credits. Credits may be translated to Northwood academic credit for earning a degree in automotive marketing and management.

Upcoming session dates for the Automotive Certificate Program include:

  • September 7 - December 6, 2004

  • January 10 - April 3, 2005

  • April 4 - June 26, 2005
