DaimlerChrysler Insurance Company (DCIC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler Services North America, co-sponsored the Mixed Insurance Invitational held Monday, May 23. The event benefitted St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The 10th annual invitiational was held at the Dearborn Country Club in Dearborn, Mich. In co-sponsoring the event, DCIC donated $10,000 to cancer research.

Over the next five years the Mixed Insurance Committee, comprised of employees working in Michigan's insurance industry, has pledged $500,000 to help maintain the family area in the Grizzlies House, an on-campus short-term stay facility.

"On the local level, we are grateful for the support of DaimlerChrysler Insurance Company. Because our research protocols are shared freely with hospitals worldwide, this generous contribution will have a tremendous affect on families right here in Metropolitan Detroit," said Beth Campbell, Event Marketing Representative for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
