LAS VEGAS — GMAC and CitiFinancial walked away with top honors in F&I Management and Technology magazine's Captive and Non-Captive of the Year awards, sponsored by RouteOne LLC. The two companies were handed their awards at the fifth annual F&I Conference and Expo in Las Vegas.

Readers of F&I magazine elected GMAC and CitiFinancial Auto the winners of the award, which honors the finance sources' support of the auto dealer community. Both finance sources are fully integrated with the RouteOne platform.

"It's definitely a challenging time for the automotive retail industry, but it's clear by the results that GMAC and CitiFinancial have done what it takes to help dealers during this period," said Gregory Arroyo, executive editor for F&I Management and Technology magazine. "It was also clear the role finance companies play in our business by the more than 1,600 votes cast by readers of the magazine."

"We are proud to sponsor this award, which recognizes the outstanding service and excellence these finance sources provide to their dealer customers," said Mike Jurecki, RouteOne CEO. "Now more than ever, dealers need to be able to rely on their finance source partners to help navigate through these challenging economic times. Congratulations to GMAC and CitiFinancial Auto, both of whom are great customers on our platform, for being selected by their customers to receive this celebrated award."

Votes were cast via F&I magazine's website from July to August 2008.
