Meyers RV Superstores has acquired White Horse RV Center, a two-location operation in New Jersey, from Ed Hutchinson Jr.
White Horse RV was founded in 1973 by Hutchinson’s parents, and he took over in 1993, relocating the dealership to its current location in Williamstown. In 2011, the company expanded to include a second location in Galloway.
According to Performance Brokerage Services, the sell-side adviser in the transaction, White Horse was ranked No. 2 on RVshare’s list of the Top-10 RV Dealers in New Jersey in 2018 and named the top RV dealer in the state for 2011 by Statistical Surveys.
"After more than 30 years of building our family business, deciding to sell was one of the biggest decisions we've ever made,” Hutchinson said.
Myer’s RV Superstores was established in 1967 as an automotive collision shop and entered the RV business shortly thereafter. Today, Mark Meyer leads the company, which he bought from his father in 1998 with Mark Calzone.
The company now operates 19 RV and marine dealerships across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland. Following the latest acquisition, it operates three dealerships in New Jersey.
White Horse RV Center has been renamed Myer’s RV and will remain at its current locations.
