ATLANTA — Interstate National Corporation has named insurance industry veteran Mark H. Mishler as chief executive officer of Interstate National and its subsidiaries.

Mishler’s new responsibilities include overseeing Interstate's executive team and managing Interstate's long-term strategic initiatives. He also will lead the company’s daily operations, including underwriting, claims, finance, customer service and information technology functions to support Interstate's financial and business objectives.

"Commitment to service excellence and establishing sound long and short-term business objectives are key strategies that start at the top," Mishler said. "I plan to implement those initiatives with our team, our providers, our partners and our customers to further grow Interstate as the industry leader."

Mishler, a 29-year industry veteran, was previously at the helm of The Warranty Group Inc. as president, chief operating officer and board member. He also served as president of The Warranty Group’s Virginia Surety Insurance Company.

"Mark's vision for growth and strategic positioning grew his past companies to $5 billion in assets and $1.8 billion in revenues," said Gene Becker, Interstate chairman. "Mark is a results-driven leader, who will help Interstate accomplish our collective goals for aggressive growth, superior customer service and a steadfast commitment to excellence in the industry for years to come."
