Westlake Village, CA — 5square announced that retail automotive veteran Gene Holmes has joined the company as senior account executive for the Northeast United States. Holmes brings to 5square over 25 years of experience leading integrated sales, marketing and business operations in the retail automotive field. He also brings an in-depth knowledge of auto dealer operations, having served as general manger in three separate dealerships, where he consistently increased sales and CSI. He will report directly to Jonathan Feduniec, vice president sales and marketing.
“Gene, John Barbero and I have had great success working together building companies in the past and I am thrilled to have our team back together. Gene is heading up the Northeast U.S. and John the Southeast. 5square will benefit greatly from Gene’s long history of success and understanding of the operations of auto dealers,” stated Jonathan Feduniec, vice president sales and marketing at 5square.
Prior to 5square, Holmes worked as a senior account executive at ReckonUp, where he consistently ranked as one of the top two sales producers and helped the company increase its customer base from a few dozen to hundreds of dealers during his four-year tenure. Previous to that he worked as general manager at Royal Dodge in Franklin, Tenn., where he instituted a sales traffic and follow-up system that helped to grow new Dodge sales 24 percent and used-unit vehicle sales 32 percent.
Before that he worked as general manager at Phil Long Ford/KIA in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he maintained an effective sales force through an intensive recruitment and training program which contributed to 8 percent sales growth in one year. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Villanova University.
Commenting on his new position Holmes stated, “It is very exciting to be working with Jonathan Feduniec and John Barbero again, particularly at a company like 5square. The product is far superior to anything I have seen out there. It is affordable, easy to use and fills dealers’ needs and wants — it’s exactly what they’ve been asking for.”
