Scottsdale, Ariz.—The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently approved the Automotive Dealership Institute (ADI) to grant student visas to qualified international applicants.
Bringing in international students enables the school to serve the needs of the automotive dealership industry on a more global scale.
“It has become very difficult since 9/11 to get permission to approve student visas and we feel honored that our school has been authorized,” said ADI CEO/executive director Alan Algan. ADI now joins Northwood University as the only schools specializing in automotive management to be able to grant student visas.
ADI Dean of Education Arzu Algan recently conducted a two-day workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 45 high-ranking bank executives from various countries in conjunction with The Asian Banker, an intelligence provider on benchmarks and emerging best practices in the financial services industry for countries in the Asian Pacific. ADI officials have also traveled to London to discuss ways to better meet the needs of industry members in the United Kingdom. A series of additional workshops are scheduled in several Asian countries. The next workshop is planned on April 10-12, 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
ADI is now considered a Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) certified school for international students.
